Red crianza wine produced from Tempranillo grapes, with a touch of Graciano and Mazuelo, from vineyards with clay-limestone soils and altitudes between 380 and 450 meters. The grapes were harvested by hand with a selection on the vine.
Once the winemaking process was finished, the wine aged in American oak barrels of 225 litters for 15 months. The wine then passed to the bottle where it continued its evolution in order to achieve balance and to strengthen the fruit characteristics of the Tempranillo grape.
Colour: Medium to high intensity. Garnet colour with a cherry rim.
Nose: Full-bodied and vinous. A wonderful combination of black-cherry, smoky hints, spices and raspberry.
Mouth: Fresh attack. Good structure of well-integrated tannins. A good finish with vanilla and toasty aftertaste.
Viña Salceda Crianza has been made following the great Rioja tradition and is consequently a true expression of Rioja.
It features all the Tempranillo fruit and spice aromas from Rioja Alta and Alavesa, and it is well-balanced and elegant.
