This wine has been produced from a careful selection of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from our vineyards in Marcilla and Aberin, in the premium wine producing areas of Navarra. The Tempranillo grapes, traditional fine variety of the region, are given a long maceration and then blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which add fullness and give ageing potential to the wine.
Ageing is carried out French (Allier) and American oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood, for 18 months. This matures and rounds the wine without hiding or lessening any of its original virtues. Though the wine is released ready for consumption it is also suitable for further ageing in bottle.
Colour • A deep ruby, with a lighter rim, showing its age.
Aroma • Full ripe soft fruit nose, with a touch of spice and the oak in which the wine has matured.
Palate • Full bodied, with a good fruit balance. Complex palate with hints of oak. A pleasant, deep aftertaste, witness to its age and origin.
