Chivite presents D.O. Pago Gran Vino de Arínzano wine at Carme Ruscadella's 2* Michelin restaurant in Japan, Sant Pau

Tue 13 Apr, 2010

Japan was witness on the evening of April 13th of the birth of a new star: Chivite's Gran Vino de Arínzano from the first D.O. Pago in Northern Spain.

The venue chosen for the special occasion was Spain's star chef Carme Ruscadella's 2* Michelin restaurant in Tokyo, Sant Pau, a prestigeous label both in Spain and internationally. Fernando Chivite flew to Japan especially to welcome his guests at the Sant Pau, among whom were personalities of the Japanese society as well as Spain's highest representatives such as the Spanish Ambassador in Tokyo Mr. Miguel Ángel Carriedo Mompín and his wife Djadja de Carriedo; Tourspain's Managing Director Mr. Ignacio Ducasse; and Mrs. Patricia Souza, responsible in Japan for Spanish media agency EFE.

Japan has followed Russia last October 2009 and Hong Kong in April 2009 -where we also counted on 3* Michelin star chef Martín Berasategui displaying his talent at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, to launch Chivite's new Gran Vino de Arínzano wines. Right after the launch in Japan, Fernando Chivite and his team travelled on to Shanghai and Beijing for special presentations of Gran Vino de Arínzano to the Chinese press.
