El Dia, newspaper from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, outstands the huge step beyond that Chivite has made in terms of environmentally-friendly processes in the vineyard and in the cellars with their new monovarietal Chivite Merlot Biológico. This wine is harvested late in order to extract the virtues and true character of the Merlot grape.
It is very important to outline that not only is this the first of Chivite wines to be certified as fully biological, but it also uses environmentally-friendly packaging materials: 100% natural cork from non-pesticide cork oaks, recycled paper for the labels and an extra-light glass bottle.
